I’m experimenting with this pattern….i wanted a larger quilt WITHOUT adding blocks. I decided, instead of cutting the blocks 4.5” & I found that I could cut the blocks 5.5” & I will adjust the borders to compensate for the larger blocks. There are MANY of the quilts that you have made videos on, but this one is TRULY one of my favourites! Thank you for all of your hard work to create these videos

What type of quilt would you choose to use the “Baptist fan”? Aside from a “bubble” or circular quilting pattern, the Baptist fan is one of my favourites but I don’t know were it be used

I am new to quilting. What type of presser foot are you using?

I don’t know why or what’s wrong with me, but I’m TERRIFIED, or rather: PETRIFIED, cutting into fabric. I just stopped sewing altogether because of that. Donna is a magician. I maybe watched this video 100 times, in awe. 💞💞💞

I am not especially big on scrappy, but can embrace controlled scrappy. If I were to make this design, I would likely arrange the blocks so the stripes around the focus fabric were the same color. I admire folks who can just let go of trying to match everything up. Beautiful quilt , Donna, and another well made video. I appreciate your attention to detail.

Hi Donna. This is such a pretty quilt. I have just finished my first stash buster quilt. Now i know why people go to long arm quilters!!! I just made a small 40" x 50" lap quilt for my granddaughter and thought i could quilt it easy enough on my sewing machine. Well, I managed but OMG, I thought I was going to lose my mind. Im working on a larger one for myself but Iwill be hand quilting it! I love your videos and look forward to watching you every day. Thanks for all you do. ❤

Donna, this quilt is so fascinating. I like the way you laid it out. Both ways are nice, and options are great, but the way you chose is my fave. I dont understand. Literally everyone else who has a quilting channel has a little nest. So they have the machine and a place to iron and maybe a place to cut all withing the range of the chair they sit in. Even having a mini iron & mini ironing board would be easier than not ironing like ahe does....

You always approach patterns and fabrics with enthusiasm and your directions are always impeccable. And your comments are always insightful. So, thanks to all for the time and effort put into these videos. It’s always a privilege and a joy to watch your offerings. And I think one of the special benefits of watching a video with fabric and pattern that don’t happen to speak to me is that I have a wonderful chance to think hard about about design and color ways. I think sometimes thinking about what your don’t resonate to is every bit as important as thinking about colors and patterns that grab my attention. Trying to understand the why about the what is good for my brain.
